CHAPTER TWO
OCTAVIAN COUNTRY DAY SCHOOL
9:05 am, Monday, January 20th

Claire Lyons ambushed Layne Abeley on Layne's way out of Spanish.
"Ehmagawsh, Layne, happy birthday!" She hugged her friend. "Who's coming to your party?"
"Cara, Syd, and you of course." Layne blushed. "I invited Dempsey too."
"Really, Layne?" Claire giggle-rolled her eyes. "What did he sayyyy?"
"He agreed!" Layne squeal-giggled. Then she lowered her voice and whispered, "Are you and Block on good terms again?"
Claire shrugged. "We're oh-kay." She mumbled. Massie and her were on fair terms, trying to be friends again, but constantly Claire wondered if she should have never joined the PC in the first place....
Claire frowned.
Layne's eyes sparked knowingly. Then she hugged Claire fiercely. "You'll always have me," she whisper-promised.

Massie Block: Is in luh-v with Landon Crane. Hasn't exactly gone to second base yet, but plans to. But Kuh-laire is being a pain in Bark Obama's butt. Can Massie resolve things with Claire, at the same time juggling a relationship with Landon and keeping the Pretty Committee together?

Alicia Rivera: Her ninth-grade crush is ah-dorable. But Josh Hotz isn't exactly happy with Leesh ditching him, and will do anything to win her back.

Dylan Marvil: Is being stalked by Derrington. Somebody, help. She will NEVER get time alone with her new crush.

Kristen Gregory: Luh-vs her ninth grade crush too. But can Dempsey stop acting like they're still together??

Claire Lyons: Wants to be friends with Cara, Syd, and Layne as well as the Pretty Committee. But Massie won't let it happen. Will Claire and Massie have another war?
